Autodrome Chaudiere will host the first 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s Series event on Quebec soil, after two events held in Ontario this past month. It will also be an opportunity for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and the #47 Weather<\/strong><\/a>Tech Canada<\/strong><\/a> | Groupe Bellemare<\/strong><\/a> team to turn the tables after a rocky start to the year, and focus on their goal for the weekend: winning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Louis-Philippe Dumoulin had a car fully capable of podium finishes at both Sunset Speedway and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, which did not happen in the end, but the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res driver still managed to score valuable points in the battle for the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Championship.<\/p>\n

The Autodrome Chaudiere is a very special short oval for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, who will be driving the #47 WeatherTech Canada <\/strong>| Groupe Bellemare<\/strong> car on one of the last high-banked paved ovals in Quebec.<\/p>\n

It’s high time for the Pinty’s Series to establish Vallee-Jonction as a regular event as it was before, especially given that the Series hasn’t visited the Autodrome since 2019 due to the global pandemic and weather issues in 2021. In addition to the banking that makes the oval worthy of the famous Bristol Motor Speedway, the enthusiastic race fans make the event even more exciting.<\/p>\n

“As a team, we want to perform well and finish on the podium. We are moving on from our early-season woes to get that win we are aiming for,” says Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Chaudiere is a short track that I really like, and not only for the racing action, but also for the very friendly organization. It’s a pity we haven’t visited that track over the last two years, as the fans are great, and we can’t wait to see them again. There is almost no banked paved oval left in Quebec since Saint-Eustache closed, so it is important for us to preserve this track and use it regularly. It’s an oval with a lot of banking and we can run there, side-by-side competitively, which makes for some very close battles and a great show.”<\/p>\n

Autodrome Chaudiere
<\/strong>The “Autodrome Chaudiere 250<\/em>” will take place on June 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Vallee-Jonction oval track, which is less than an hour South from Quebec City. The 250-lap event will be split in two 125-lap segments, with a 5-minute break at the intermission to allow teams to make minor adjustments to the car.\u00a0<\/p>\n
