Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Dumoulin – NASCAR Pinty’s Series<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0#04\u00a0Spectra Premium<\/strong>\u00a0\/ Bernier Cr\u00e9peau\/ Groupe Bellemare \/ MIA team is ready forthe three oval-track events in Western Canada, on July 26\u00a0(Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)\u00a0and July 29 (Edmonton, Alberta). In preparation, NASCAR Pinty’s offifials decided to raise the level of intensity on-track and the quality of the show for spectators. Two separate 100-lap races will be run on the same day, on the short oval, only 2.5 hours apart.\u00a0The starting order for the second race will be determined by lap times in the first\u00a0race.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Given the special nature of all-out sprint races, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Dumoulin and his technical team are focusing on qualifying the #04\u00a0Spectra Premium<\/strong>\u00a0\/ Bernier Cr\u00e9peau \/ Groupe Bellemare \/ MIA car at the front of the grid for the first race.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jean-Francois Dumoulin explained the need for this special attention ;” Starting at the front of the fast pack means that you do not have to “carve” your way through the middle or rear pack and expose yourself to race-ruining incidents, This also means that there is less risk of damage to the bodywork or suspension, and that you can somewhat manage your tires and brakes. Another benefit is that you end up with some extra performance near the most important part of the race: the last laps.”<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jean-Francois Dumoulin added that “We can’t predict what will happen on the track. We will, however do everything in our power to optimize our set-up and then race intelligently.<\/p>\n

“Our race at Delaware Speedway earlier this season allowed us to take a jump on our short oval settings, and we hope to take advantage of this throughout the Western visit” ” added the driver of the\u00a0#04\u00a0Spectra Premium<\/strong>\u00a0\/ Bernier Cr\u00e9peau \/ Groupe Bellemare \/ MIA car.<\/p>\n

Autograph session at Delta Bessborough, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan\u00a0– July 24, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jean-Fran\u00e7ois and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will participate in an autograph session organized by his partner, the Delta Bessborough, on July 24 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m<\/strong>. The #04\u00a0Spectra Premium\u00a0<\/strong>\/ Bernier Cr\u00e9peau \/ Groupe Bellemare \/MIA and the #47\u00a0WeatherTech Canada\u00a0\/ Groupe Bellemare hauler and cars will also be on-site. Racing fans and the media will be invited to a meet and greet with the driver, as well as to take pictures in front of the main entrance of the Delta Bessborough.<\/p>\n

Caterpillar dealer, Finning Canada has partnered with the Delta Bessborough and will provide bottled water during the autograph session taking place at the hotel’s entrance which will be followed by cocktails<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Metric Garden Lounge @ the Bess from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m<\/strong>. Martin Gilbert, the Delta Bessborough’s General Manager, is very excited that the Dumoulin team is returning this year and believes the event will be even better with the addition of Finning Canada to the event.<\/p>\n
