Today’s race at the Autodrome Chaudi\u00e8re was another opportunity to admire veteran driver JF Dumoulin skills and determination, the strengths he is famous for in Canadian and American racing. On this, Team #04\u00a0Spectra Premium\u00a0<\/strong>\/ Bernier Cr\u00e9peau \/ Bellemare Group \/ MIA Racing’s first season, the newly formed group has come to every event with a competitive, thoroughly prepared car and a driver who is rapidly adapting to oval racing after a 20+ year career in road racing. Starting ninth\u00a0(9th<\/sup>)\u00a0on the grid, Jean-Francois Dumoulin worked hard to maintain that position early in the race, then move up to an eighth\u00a0(8th<\/sup>)\u00a0place finish.<\/p>\n

“The morning testing sessions went well and we were happy with our race set-up. In fact, the car was loose in the early part of the race \u2013 race adrenalin I guess. I even had a great fight with Kevin Lacroix. We also changed our set-up when we pitted on lap 155, but not enough to get back to the quick car we had in the cooler morning test sessions. We kept up a good, regular pace, and finished one lap down from the winner” explained the driver of the #04\u00a0from the\u00a0<\/strong>Spectra Premium<\/strong>\u00a0\/ Bernier Cr\u00e9peau \/ Bellemare Group \/ MIA team.<\/p>\n

Mother Nature delayed the race a total of nine days, and team members and spectators were eager for the race to go on, expecting the usual great show at the Autodrome Chaudi\u00e8re. We know that the whole #04\u00a0Spectra Premium<\/strong>\u00a0\/ Bernier Cr\u00e9peau \/ Bellemare Group \/ MIA team was part of a great event despite the hurry-up mode in which the race was run.<\/p>\n

First podium for Dumoulin Competition using the\u00a0<\/strong>Spectra Premium<\/strong>\u00a0NSCR100 radiator<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Jean-Francois Dumoulin “Our NSCR100 radiator has been perfect since we started using it earlier this year. Our coolant temperatures are lower then expected and thus easier to manage. I would like to congratulate my brother Louis-Philippe putting the NSCR100 radiator on the podium for the first time this year.\u00a0Spectra Premium<\/strong>\u00a0is the best partners possible, especially when you add in their support of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. The NASCAR Pinty’s race held today at Autodrome Chaudiere, launch the project for the Quebec Cancer Foundation\u00a0(QCF). The response from the spectators and the teams was immediate, the trunk were covered with names and motivated encouragements as they were last year. Over $ 280.00 were collected, a great start towards equalling last years total of $ 13,611.75. This is obviously a great cause, as each 100 dollars collected pay for QCF one night stay in the foundations hotel.
