The #04 Spectra Premium<\/strong>\/ Bernier Crépeau\/ Groupe Bellemare\/ MIA \/ Trois-Rivières Mitsubishi car was performing well and everything was in place for Jean-François Dumoulin to achieve a top-5 at the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix today. However, a skirmish and contact caused by a rival on the very first lap of the event, as well as a black flag on the 34th<\/sup> lap, forcing him to make a pit stop, have relegated the Trois-Rivières native to tenth place. This weekend, fans have seen a more determined driver than ever, and Jean-François Dumoulin will showcase this same perseverance at his next scheduled event on September 4th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

“We had a very good car for the race. It was understeering a bit, but nothing major, and we were in a very good place to start. The contact with Klutt in the second turn from the beginning of the race has damaged my front-right spoiler. Instead of asking me to make a pit stop right away to get it repaired, the series officials have waited until the 34th<\/sup> lap to bring out the black flag, at which point I was fighting for fifth place. The crew was able to fix the spoiler very quickly, but it was no longer possible for us to finish the race as far ahead,” explains the driver of the #04 Spectra Premium<\/strong>\/ Bernier Crépeau\/ Groupe Bellemare\/ MIA \/ Trois-Rivières Mitsubishi car.<\/p>\n
