NASCAR Pinty’s Series – Riverside International Speedway
Team #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare played a highly visible role in yesterday’s eventful race at the Riverside International Speedway. On the mechanical side of things, the team repaired the broken front suspension in morning practice and reproduced the exact race set-up they needed for the car to work well during the race. The team also had to replace a broken half shaft during a mid-race pit stop, losing only one lap to the leader in the process. Seventh on the starting grid, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin called upon his driving agility and his determination to work his way through from the back up to 5th position three times. In the end, he was up to a fine fourth place. It is undoubtedly a team success.
With nine caution period, the 305-lap race was a real test for several drivers and delighted the spectators who came in large numbers to cheer on their favourite. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin was patient throughout the race, waiting for real opportunities to overtake his opponents.
“I am really very proud of my team. They were ready to react, and the mechanical problems were repaired quickly. The axle change did not allow us to make any changes to the settings during that pit stop that would have improved the car’s handling. We still saved the situation and were in the fight for a podium finish at the end. That’s why this team won the championship last year and I’m going to do everything I can to fight at the front of the field for the next four races,” explained the driver of car #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare.

Next weekend, Team #47 WeatherTech Canada | Groupe Bellemare will be on track at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park road course for the tenth Pinty’s event of the season, on a track endurance driver such as Louis-Philippe Dumoulin love.

On May 8th, 2018, the brothers Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin proudly unveiled “The Dumoulin Corner” (L’Espace Dumoulin), an exhibit at the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum as part of the “50 Years at the Wheel” celebrations. Those who missed the exhibition last year can see it this year, along with the creations of Luc Pilon, who inspired the “50 Years” logo.
