From Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada, Jean-François Dumoulin has over twenty years of experience on the racetrack, during which he has developed and diversified a widely recognized expertise. He began his career in Formula Ford and Formula Atlantic before excelling in the Porsche Motorola Cup and Grand-Am series. His regular participation in the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona highlights his talent for high-level endurance racing.

Dumoulin has also earned an international reputation as an instructor, working with the Ferrari Club and the Ferrari Challenge in North America to share his expertise with enthusiasts of this prestigious brand. Since joining NASCAR in 2007, he has been a regular competitor in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, consistently demonstrating his commitment and talent in this discipline.

Beyond racing, Dumoulin is a sought-after instructor for automotive manufacturers and private clubs, including Porsche and Ferrari, as well as the Ferrari Challenge and the Jim Russell School.   • Recognized endurance racer from the Rolex and Grand-Am series, Daytona Prototype Jean-François Dumoulin makes his debut in the Canadian NASCAR series during the 2007 season. Jean-Francois Dumoulin also operates as General Manager of Dumoulin Competition since 2018 and is responsible for the management as well as the drivers who rent cars during the NASCAR Pinty’s Series seasons.

    • Season 2022, 2023 and 2024 participation in the Grand Prix of Trois-Rivières in the Nascar Canada series.
    • 2021 Season – NASCAR Pinty’s Series – Podium, runner-up at Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres;
    • 2019 Season – NASCAR Pinty’s Series: two podiums, a top-5 and a sixth-place finish in four road races.

    • In 2000, at the Molson Indy in Ontario, he earns second place at the championship of the Motorola Cup series, gaining an unlikely podium appearance after having started the event in 52nd place.

    At the end of the 1995 season, Jean-François Dumoulin is the youngest racer of the legendary Play Player’s Development Team, which sponsors him until 1998 in Formula Ford and Formula Atlantic. In 2000, in the Motorola Cup series, he offers a solid performance in each race. It’s the year during which Jean-Francois Dumoulin and his teammate, Richard Spénard, reach multiple milestones and pole positions. They are, notably, the authors of one of the best shows that ever occurred on the tracks of the Toronto Indy, where after starting in last place, they’ve managed to come back and win the race. Jean-Francois Dumoulin overtook 52 vehicles to bring his Porsche 993 to the lead, assisted by Spénard who maintained it. The season ended with a 2nd place in the championship, despite the fact that they hadn’t participated in the Daytona and Sebring events.

    From 2001 to 2004, he races in the Grand Am series and is crowned champion in 2002 and 2003. It’s in 2004 that Jean-Francois Dumoulin will establish his reputation as a settings specialist and as an instructor by earning the title of champion at the 24 hrs of Daytona in the SGS category, at the wheel of a Porsche 996 co-piloted by Jean-Francois Dumoulin, Marc Lieb, Robert Julien, and Greg Pootmans.

    This victory in Daytona helps propel him to a participation in the SGS championship of the Grand American Road Racing Association, in a partnership with Robert Julien.

    In 2007, he records a second important victory at the 24 hrs of Daytona in the GT category with a Porsche 997 of the Allegra Motorsport team. This time, Jean-Francois Dumoulin shares the wheel with Scooter Gabel, Marc Basseng, and the owner of the car, Carlos de Quesada. During this event, Jean-Francois Dumoulin is also responsible for the settings, the management of the team, and of the training of the car’s owner.

    Having become a respected figure in endurance challenges in Rolex and Grand-Am, he makes his debut in the NASCAR Canadian Tire series in 2007. 2009 marks the beginning of a very special year for Jean-Francois Dumoulin, as he races a Ferrari F430 on the mythical track of Monza in Italy in the GT3B category. The same year, he contributes to a solid performance at the NASCAR Nationwide challenge of the Montreal Grand Prix.
