Driving the #04 Spectra Premium | Groupe Bellemare | Trois-Rivières Mitsubishi | MIA | Bernier Crépeau Chrysler Fiat, Jean-François Dumoulin wants to leave his mark on this weekend’s Pinty’s round at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) road course in Bowmanville, Ontario. After making history at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres by sharing the Pinty’s podium with his brother Louis-Philippe Dumoulin on August 11, the eldest of the Dumoulin brothers knows he has the car to repeat that performance, or even do better at CTMP.
Jean-François Dumoulin has mastered CTMP, having raced and won here in different series over the years: eight podiums including three victories (1997, Formula Ford | 2000, Motorola Cup | 2003, Grand-Am Cup).
“I am really happy to be back at CTMP. At the beginning of the season, the #04 Spectra Premium | Groupe Bellemare | Trois-Rivières Mitsubishi | MIA | Bernier Crépeau Chrysler Fiat was quick there, and the car has improved over the summer, as we demonstrated with a solid third place finish in the GP3R. I am sure that we will be even more competitive over race distance this coming weekend. Our objective is to keep up with the lead pack early in the race and make sure that our car will be quicker yet in the late laps to ensure victory. The strategy works, as we demonstrated by recording the quickest lap of the race with only two laps to go,” shared the driver and general manager of Dumoulin Competition.

Jean-François Dumoulin’s role will not be limited to that of driver next weekend as veteran driver Jean-Frédéric Laberge will also be on track for his last race of the season in a car prepared by Dumoulin Competition, where Jean-Francois Dumoulin is general manager and runs things in the shop and trackside. A busy man indeed!

“The Dumoulin Corner” exhibit at the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum
On May 8th, 2018, the brothers Jean-François and Louis-Philippe Dumoulin proudly unveiled “The Dumoulin Corner” (L’Espace Dumoulin), an exhibit at the Gilles-Villeneuve Museum as part of the “50 Years at the Wheel” celebrations.
Those who missed the exhibition last year can see it this year, along with the creations of Luc Pilon, who inspired the “50 Years” logo.
